The Community Council owns and manages the cemeteries at Eglwys Sant Tudclud and Arwelfa. The Church Cemetery is now full so Arwelfa Cemetery is used for new burials. The money for the maintenance of the cemeteries comes from burial fees and from Council Tax.
Current Fees
Deceased living within Bro Machno:
- New grave: £300
- Re-open grave: £200
- Ashes burial plot: £100
Deceased living outside Bro Machno:
- New grave: £600
- Re-open grave: £400
- Ashes burial plot: £200

Penmachno Arwelfa Cemetery Rules
- The plot / grave for each new burial must be the one agreed with the Clerk and recorded on the plan kept by him.
- Permission to bury includes the right to place a headstone.
- A single payment is charged according to the fees shown; you do not have to pay extra for placing a headstone.
- All headstones should be of a similar size and pattern to those already in the cemetery. Any headstone different from the usual in terms of size or pattern, must be agreed in writing with the Clerk in advance.
- The Community Council has the right to order the removal of any headstone deemed unsuitable.
- The placing of stones, railings or decorations on or around the grave or the planting of trees, plants or flowers is forbidden.
- The Community Council is not responsible for opening and closing graves. The fees shown below do not include the price of opening and closing graves. The undertaker will be responsible for making arrangements for this.
- Kevin Edwards is the authorised gravedigger.
- When digging a new grave, soil must be removed from the cemetery by the grave digger.
